ANXIETY & STRESS MANAGEMENT
Not all individuals are wired the same. Some float through the world seemingly impervious to the stressors of life, but others do not. Many children, young adults, and adults experience stress or anxiety with such intensity that their academic, social, job or psychological functioning is affected. This is especially true during these exceptionally trying times.
Often bright and deeply emotional individuals can exhibit problem behaviors because they lack the skills needed to cope in a world that overwhelms them. I work with sensitive individuals and their parents to help them learn the pros and cons of experiencing deep feelings. Additionally, I teach them ways to communicate better with others and to cope more independently when they experience distress.
